Two killed in misunderstanding<\/p>\n
BOGOR (JP): Residents of Rangga Mekar subdistrict in Bogor
\nSelatan district mobbed two men to death after a passerby
\nscreamed "thief" when he saw one victim chasing the other.<\/p>\n
The victims were identified as Abi Bayu and Ade Koswara.<\/p>\n
An eyewitness, identified as Ganosef Amsyahril, said Abi had
\nvisited Ade's residence in Batutulis, Bogor, on Tuesday. Ade was
\naway in the Rangga Mekar area at the time.<\/p>\n
"Upon returning on Wednesday, Ade was shocked to find his
\nclothes and his bicycle missing. He confronted Abi on Thursday
\nnight about the matter and a verbal fight began.<\/p>\n
"The verbal fight turned physical and one started running
\nafter the other. As they were running, a man saw them and thought
\nsomeone was chasing a thief. So he screamed, 'Thief,'" Ganosef
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Hearing this cry, residents in the Rangga Mekar subdistrict
\nchased down Abi and Ade and began beating them. The victims were
\npulled away from the mob by the head of a neighborhood unit, he
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
"Both men were brought to the village's administrative office,
\nwhere they were safe. The men made the mistake of escaping,
\nprobably through a window.<\/p>\n
"Seeing the men escape, the angry residents who were waiting
\nfor them got emotional and started beating the men, and beat them
\nuntil they died," the eyewitness said. (21\/ylt)<\/p>",
