Two injured in student brawl<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A teacher and a student were injured in a fierce
\nbrawl involving more than one hundred high school students in
\nCilandak, South Jakarta, Saturday.<\/p>\n
Students from the Cendrawasih and Bhakti Idata private senior
\nhigh schools, in South Jakarta, clashed at midday after a group
\nof Bhakti Idata students, on a public bus, yelled at Cendrawasih
\nstudents who were gathering in front of their school, chief of
\nCilandak Police Subprecinct Maj. Hapsoro Wahyu said.<\/p>\n
Hapsoro said the Bhakti Idata students pelted rocks at the
\nCendrawasih students, who retaliated by stoning their attackers.<\/p>\n
Hapsoro said there were no reports of casualties or damage to
\nbuses. He also said no one was arrested.<\/p>\n
However, eyewitnesses say they saw people being taken to the
\nnearby Setia Mitra Hospital for injuries, and two buses were
\ndamaged.<\/p>\n
A staff member from the hospital's emergency room told the
\npress two people were treated after the clash.<\/p>\n
"One of them, Aberson Muslim, a teacher of Cendrawasih High
\nSchool suffered a serious head wound," said the staffer who
\ninsisted on remaining anonymous.<\/p>\n
The staffer also said the hospital had sent Odjie, a
\nCendrawasih school student, to Fatmawati Hospital, because Setia
\nMitra hospital could not treat his wounds. (05)<\/p>",
