Two firms secure loan facilities<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): PT Pramindo Ikat Nusantara and PT Eternal Buana
\nChemical secured US$400 million and US$43 million respectively
\nyesterday in syndicated loan facilities.<\/p>\n
Pramindo Ikat announced that its loans were pledged by 31
\nfinancial institutions, with Banque Nationale de Paris, Chase
\nManhattan Asia Limited, the Fuji Bank Limited, International
\nFinance Corporation and Societe Generale Asia Limited acting as
\narrangers.<\/p>\n
The co-arrangers included Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Ltd, Banque
\nParibas, Bayerische Hypotheken-und Wechsel-Bank, AG, Credit
\nLyonnais, Keppel Bank of Singapore Limited, LTCB Merchant Bank
\n(Singapore) Limited, Toronto-Dominion Bank and Westdeutsche
\nLandesbank Girozentale.<\/p>\n
The company said that the loans would be used to finance the
\ndevelopment of its telecommunications project in Sumatra.<\/p>\n
Eternal Buana, meanwhile, said that its loan facilities
\ncomprised a $21.5 million term loan and a $21.5 million revolving
\ncredit, both with maturities of five years.<\/p>\n
It said that the funds from the term loan will be used to
\nrefinance its borrowing, while the revolving credit will be used
\nto strengthen its working capital structures.<\/p>\n
Participants of the syndicated facilities include the Jakarta
\nbranch of Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Bank
\nInternasional Indonesia, AMMB International Ltd, Indover Bank and
