Two criminals shot to death<\/p>\n
East Jakarta police shot and killed two men and arrested two
\nothers after they tried to rob a woman on Jl. D.I. Pandjaitan,
\nEast Jakarta, on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The two deceased men were identified as Diaz, 23 and Moch.
\nZaini, 28. Their suspected accomplices were identified as Ha and
\nRus, both 27 years of age, Suara Karya daily reported.<\/p>\n
Investigation has revealed that the four planned the theft
\nwhen they saw a brown envelope from Bank Bumi Daya, a state owned
\nbank, in a minivan owned by Sri R.S, an employee of PT Tigaraksa
\nSatria in Jl. Museum, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n
They followed Sri's car on two motorcycles. When she stopped
\nat a traffic light, they placed nails under her tires.<\/p>\n
After leaving the stop light and realizing her car's tires
\nwere flat, Sri stopped at a tire repair shop on Jl. D.I.
\nPandjaitan. The criminals used the opportunity to grab Sri's
\npurse and run.<\/p>\n
Alerted by Sri's shouts for help, three nearby policemen
\nrushed to her assistance. When the criminals kept running despite
\nthe fact the officers fired warning shots, they had no other
\nchoice than to shoot at them. Diaz was shot in the head and Zaini
