        "content": "<p>Two convicts executed<\/p>\n<p>KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara (JP): Two convicts sentenced to<br>\ndeath for murder were executed on Friday midnight after their<br>\nrequest for a presidential pardon was rejected.<\/p>\n<p>Gerson Pandie and Fredik Soru, both 34, were killed by the<br>\ngunshots of two different firing squads, deep in the eucalyptus<br>\nwoods in Oekabiti district.<\/p>\n<p>The two, along with Dance Soru, were found guilty by Kupang<br>\nDistrict Court 12 years ago for robbing and brutally killing an<br>\nold couple, as well as their two grandchildren. The defendants<br>\nwere sentenced to death.<\/p>\n<p>Dance died last year at Penfui penitentiary in an accident, in<br>\nwhich he was electrocuted.<\/p>\n<p>The higher courts had earlier upheld the death sentence, while<br>\nthe President turned down their request for clemency.<\/p>\n<p>In his last written message, Gerson called upon juvenile<br>\ndelinquents to stop their anti-social habits.
