Two cavers die in Godawang Cave<\/p>\n
BOGOR: Two members of different Tangerang outdoor adventure
\nclubs were found dead on Thursday morning in Godawang Cave,
\nCigudeg district.<\/p>\n
It is suspected that the two, Sopian M. Nur, 27, and Harjono,
\n30, died due to asphyxiation. Their bodies were taken to the
\nBogor Indonesian Red Cross Hospital.<\/p>\n
Sofyan, a member of student outdoor adventure club Wanapaga
\nTangerang, and Hariono, chairman of Benteng club at the Syech
\nMaulana Yusuf University, were found along a caving route leading
\nto Rangkasbitung area in Tangerang.<\/p>\n
According to Harjono's friends, Wahyu Hidayat and Paulus Igo,
\nthe two were conducting a preliminary survey on Wednesday for a
\ncaving trip planned by Benteng club.<\/p>\n
"We had warned him not to enter the cave yesterday because it
\nwas raining heavily, as we feared that the fast rising water
\nwould fill the cave," he said at the hospital.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Wanapaga chairman Salim Syaripudin claimed he did
\nnot know that Sopian was accompanying Harjono for the survey.--
