        "content": "<p>PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, at the Sultan Iskandar Muda International\nAirport branch in Blang Bintang, Aceh Besar, has announced that two\nflights on the Banda Aceh-Medan route and its reverse were affected by\nthe eruption of Mount Sinabung on Tuesday (1\/9).<\/p>\n<p>The General Manager of Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport, Rahmat Adil\nIndrawan, stated that the affected flights included one flight from\nSultan Iskandar Muda International Airport to Medan which experienced a\ndelay, and one flight from Medan to Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport which\nwas cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the cancellation and delay of flights are part of\nthe primary measures taken to maintain the safety of both passengers and\naircraft crew due to the dispersal of volcanic ash resulting from the\nMount Sinabung eruption.<\/p>\n<p>The operational team at Sultan Iskandar Malaysia International\nAirport has coordinated with airlines and all relevant agencies to\nensure proper handling of passengers experiencing delays or\ncancellations caused by the eruption.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor members of the public travelling through Sultan Iskandar Muda\nInternational Airport to Medan, it is advised to monitor flight\nschedules and coordinate with airlines to confirm departure times,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>The management of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero) at Sultan\nIskandar Muda International Airport continues to work in synergy with\nall airport stakeholders to provide dedicated service, prioritising\nsafety and security for all airport users.<\/p>",
