The meeting discussed TVS\u2019s\nplans to expand its investments in Indonesia, including factory\nexpansion and the development of electric- and ethanol-powered\nvehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Investment and Downstreaming and Head of the Investment\nCoordinating Board (BKPM), Rosan Roeslani accompanied Prabowo during the\nmeeting. He said TVS had already invested in Indonesia to manufacture\nvarious types of vehicles, including motorcycles, scooters, and\nthree-wheeled vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was accompanying the president as he received guests from TVS, an\nIndian company that has already invested here in motorcycles, scooters,\nand three-wheeled vehicles. The company wants to expand its\nmanufacturing facilities, and it is looking beyond electric vehicles to\nalso begin adopting ethanol-based fuel,\u201d Rosan told reporters after the\nmeeting.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, TVS representatives outlined the company\u2019s\ndevelopment plans and explored potential opportunities for further\ncooperation in Indonesia. The company\u2019s top executives, including its\nCEO, met with Prabowo in person.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir plans and potential areas of cooperation were discussed. The\ncompany\u2019s principal and CEO were both present, so this was essentially a\ncourtesy visit to the President,\u201d Rosan said, as quoted from the\nIndonesian Presidential Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>One of the development priorities discussed was producing two-wheeled\nvehicles using a wider range of technologies. In addition to electric\nvehicles, TVS also plans to develop ethanol-powered motorcycles as part\nof its investment expansion in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the plans would also involve relevant government\nteams to support the development of electric-vehicle and ethanol-based\nvehicle technologies.
