Tutut, Titiek questioned over alleged graft case<\/p>\n

Two daughters of former president Soeharto, Siti Hardijanti
\n\"Tutut\" Rukmana and Siti Hediati Harijadi or Titiek Prabowo, as
\nwell as Tutut's husband, Indra Rukmana, appeared at the Attorney
\nGeneral's Office on Monday for questioning in an investigation of
\npossible corruption involving the construction of the Jakarta
\nouter ring road.<\/p>\n
The three of them were questioned as witnesses as they were
\ncommissaries of PT Cipta Marga Nusapala Persada, while the
\nsuspect is Djoko Ramiadji, director of PT Marga Nurindo Bakti.<\/p>\n
The office had halted the investigation citing a lack of
\nevidence to prove criminal wrongdoing, but in May, the case was
\nreopened following the discovery of new evidence: a commercial
\npaper issued by PT Hutama Jala, a joint venture between PT Cipta
\nMarga Nusapala Persada and PT Marga Nurindo Bakti.<\/p>\n
The commercial paper was issued to finance the Cawang-Tanjung
\nPriok harbor toll road construction, reportedly cost roughly Rp
\n501 billion, in addition to the Rp 301 billion Pondok Pinang-
\nJagorawi toll road.<\/p>\n
The commercial paper, however, failed to hit the market.<\/p>\n
Tutut, accompanied by lawyer Amir Sjamsudin, arrived at the
\noffice at 10:15 a.m., while Indra at about an hour later and
\nTitiek appeared at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n
Tutut told reporters after her questioning lasted at about
\n6:45 p.m. that she was not involved in the alleged crime.<\/p>\n
But she was reluctant to talk about the questioning.<\/p>\n
\"I don't know,\" she said.<\/p>\n
In March, Tutut was questioned as a suspect in a corruption
\ncase over a US$306 million pipeline project involving state oil
\nand gas company Pertamina. The Attorney General's Office,
\nhowever, has not revealed the development of their investigation
\nover the case.<\/p>",
