        "content": "<p>The Kurma Asih Turtle Conservation Group in Jembrana Regency, Bali,\nhas received the Kalpataru Lestari award, complementing the Kalpataru\naward they received in 2017. \u201cIn 2017 we received the Kalpataru award,\nand this year we received the Kalpataru Lestari. These two awards\nfurther motivate us to conserve sea turtles,\u201d said Kurma Asih Turtle\nConservation Group Chairman I Wayan Anom Astika Jaya via telephone in\nJembrana, Bali, on Thursday. He stated that the award was presented by\nEnvironment Minister Mohammad Jumhur Hidayat in conjunction with World\nEnvironment Day and the International Environmental Technology\nExhibition (INVIROTECH 2026) in Jakarta. According to him, the\nprestigious awards for the group located in Perancak Village, Jembrana\nDistrict, are thanks to an unbroken commitment to saving and conserving\nsea turtles. Since its founding in 1997, the group has been actively\nrescuing, conserving by hatching and releasing hatchlings into the sea,\nand educating the public. He said the group was founded out of concern\nover the hunting of sea turtles and their eggs. Through consistency, the\ngroup has succeeded in changing the mindset and behaviour of people who\nwere originally hunters into protectors of the protected species. \u201cWe\nwill not tire of inviting people to save marine habitats, including\nprotecting the environment to create a healthy ecosystem for marine\nanimals, especially turtles. Globally, a preserved environment will\nguarantee the survival of all creatures,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
