        "content": "<p>Ankara (ANTARA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated\nthat important decisions at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization\n(NATO) summit in Ankara cannot be taken without the presence of US\nPresident Donald Trump. \u201cThe agenda to be discussed is very important,\nand decisions on these issues cannot be made in a meeting without the\nparticipation of the US president,\u201d Fidan said in an interview with a\nTurkish daily published on Thursday. Fidan said preparations for the\nNATO summit, which will take place in Ankara on 7-8 July 2026, are\ncontinuing intensively. One of the main topics to be discussed is the\ndiffering approaches between the United States and its European allies\non a number of issues within the alliance. \u201cMany European countries have\nstated that holding the meeting in Turkey under the leadership of our\nesteemed president is a major factor enabling President Trump to\nparticipate in this summit,\u201d he said.
