TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Aip Syarifudin, the Turkish Indonesian Trade Associations (TITA) co-chairman, said the export potential for Indonesia\u2019s oil and gas as well as non-oil and gas industry to Turkey is open wide. \u201cThe commodities attracting much interest are paper, wood, textile and coal,\u201d he said, in a meeting with the Indonesian Businessmen Association at the Gran Melia Hotel yesterday.<\/p>\n
The cooperation between Indonesia and Turkey, Aip continued, is most likely to bring profit to both countries as the two have mutual needs. Turkey, for instance, is not an oil and gas producer country while Indonesia needs a market to absorb its oil and gas supplies.<\/p>\n
Cemalettin Aydogan, TITA Secretary General, said the association is trying to facilitate the two countries\u2019 trade; one of them is by inviting Turkish businessmen and the Turkish Economic Minister to observe cooperation opportunities with Indonesian businessmen.<\/p>\n
Indonesia is interested in Turkey\u2019s chemical substances, plastic, and medical equipment. \u201cThese commodities are very promising in Indonesia,\u201d Cemelettin said.<\/p>\n
