Jakarta \u2013 Several national figures have expressed condolences,\nincluding National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, following\nthe passing of Indonesia\u2019s sixth Vice President, Try Sutrisno.<\/p>\n
The top officer of the National Police said he recalls the late\nfigure as a senior who had made substantial contributions to the nation\nand state.<\/p>\n
\u201cInnalillahi Wa innailaihi Rojiun. We express our deepest condolences\nover the death of the sixth Vice President, the late Try Sutrisno. May\nthe deceased achieve a blessed end and may his family be granted\nstrength and steadfastness,\u201d he said on Monday, 2 March 2026.<\/p>\n
The former chief of the National Police\u2019s Criminal Investigation Unit\ndescribed the deceased as an exemplary figure whose role was inseparable\nfrom the nation\u2019s journey. Sutrisno\u2019s passing is regarded as a\ntremendous loss for Indonesia.<\/p>\n
\u201cFarewell, late Bapak Try Sutrisno, farewell hero of the nation. We\nshall always remember all your teachings and good deeds; may you be\ngranted the best place beside Him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
