US President Donald Trump has said he will soon declare the Strait of\nHormuz as American \u201cterritory\u201d, as Washington increases pressure on\nIran.<\/p>\n
The war between the two countries, which has been raging for nearly\nsix months, still shows no signs of ending.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter we finish defeating Iran, which is currently being defeated\nvery badly, I will soon declare the Strait of Hormuz as territory of the\nUnited States,\u201d Trump said in a speech at a police academy in New York\nstate on Friday.<\/p>\n
Trump made the statement while claiming that the United States still\nmaintains strong control over the vital shipping lane through a naval\nblockade of Iranian ports.<\/p>\n
He described the blockade as \u201cunstoppable\u201d and a \u201cwall of steel\u201d.<\/p>\n
