        "content": "<p>Washington (ANTARA) - The Trump administration on Friday (20\/3) sued\nHarvard University over allegations of antisemitism, marking an\nescalation from the federal government after months of negotiations\nbetween the two parties reached a deadlock.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the\nDistrict of Massachusetts, accuses the Ivy League university of\nviolating the civil rights of Jewish and Israeli individuals and\n\u201cturning a blind eye\u201d to antisemitism and discrimination against Jewish\nand Israeli people.<\/p>\n<p>Jewish and Israeli students have experienced severe, widespread, and\nobjectively offensive harassment based on their race or national origin,\nand they have been excluded from participation and denied the\nopportunity to enjoy the benefits of education at Harvard because of\ntheir race, ethnicity, or national origin, according to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit also states that Harvard had actual knowledge and\n\u201cdeliberately disregarded\u201d acts of harassment and exclusion against\nJewish and Israeli students, and \u201cintentionally\u201d discriminated against\nJewish and Israeli people.<\/p>\n<p>Since January 2025, the US government has issued threats to several\nUS universities, warning of potential funding cuts if they fail to\nadjust their policies.
