Trikomsel offers SMS service<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Mobile phone distributor PT Trikomsel
\nCitrawahana introduced on Tuesday Short Message Service (SMS),
\nallowing cellular users to send and receive messages to and from
\nthree existing GSM operators, namely, Telkomsel, Satelindo, and
\nExcelcomindo.<\/p>\n
\"Besides enabling people to send and receive messages, SMS
\nsubscribers could also receive information on leisure, sports,
\nbusiness, politics as well as send and receive e-mails,\"
\nTrikomsel President and Chief Executive Officer Sugiyono Wiyono
\nsaid in a media conference.<\/p>\n
The SMS services called SMSOke include AMKMOke, to receive
\nnews reports; cinema schedule; information on music and
\nentertainment, cafes and restaurants; and train and airplane
\nschedules; KabarOke, for monitoring share prices and the rupiah's
\nexchange rate; EmailOke, for sending and receiving e-mails; and
\nKontakOke for sending and receiving messages.<\/p>\n
Trikomsel Chief Marketing Officer Evy Soenaryo said the
\nsubscription fee is Rp 10,000 for the first 20 tokens and between
\nRp 10,000 and Rp 30,000 for additional tokens worth 50, 125, and
\n200.<\/p>\n
Sugiyono said that he expects to have at least 60,000
\nsubscribers by the end of the year, mostly high school and
\nuniversity students.<\/p>\n
The service will be officially launched on Sept. 25 and the
\nfirst 60,000 subscribers will receive 20 tokens free, Sugiyono
