Dunidja, the commander of the Trikora Military<br>\nCommand, the traditional title of Kayau Anem.<\/p>\n<p>The title, which literally means \"the defender and the carrier<br>\nof peace\", was given to Dunidja in appreciation of his<br>\ncontribution in securing peace and order in the regency.<\/p>\n<p>The Marind tribe's chief Bernardus Ndiken announced the honor<br>\nin a ceremony on Monday. The announcement was celebrated with<br>\nexcitement, yells and festive dancing by thousands of tribesmen.<\/p>\n<p>Ndiken also called on Dunidja to keep on protecting the<br>\nMerauke residents from various dangers which come from within or<br>\noutside of the area, and to lead them to develop the regency.<\/p>\n<p>The title Kayau Anem is said to be the highest to ever be<br>\ngiven to non-natives.
