Trias' dividends Rp 40<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Shareholders of publicly listed PT Trias
\nSentosa, approved yesterday the distribution of Rp 11.52 billion
\n(US$4.72 million) or Rp 40 a share as dividends.<\/p>\n
Trias' finance director Yamin Candra said PT Trias' sales of
\nbiaxially oriented poly propylene film and packaging paper,
\nproduced in East Java's Sidoarjo, rose last year to Rp 160.91
\nbillion, from Rp 14.80 billion in 1995.<\/p>\n
Yamin attributed the sales growth to its polyester film unit
\nwhich started production last year.<\/p>\n
But the company's revenue plunged last year to Rp 34 billion,
\nfrom Rp 40.65 billion in 1995 and net profit fell to Rp 31.10
\nbillion last year, from Rp 38.30 billion, he said.<\/p>\n
He blamed the sharp drop on the fall in the average prices of
\nthe company's products and the cost of expansion
