        "content": "<p>Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi visited several regions to ensure\nreadiness for the 2026 Lebaran transport operations. One such visit was\nto the Special Region of Yogyakarta, conducted on Thursday, 19 February\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis visit to Yogyakarta is part of the coordination relating to the\nimplementation of Lebaran transport operations,\u201d said Dudy following a\nmeeting with the DIY regional government at the Kepatihan Governor\u2019s\nOffice on Thursday, 19 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the homecoming season, Dudy urged regional and central\ngovernments to continue coordinating so that public transport services\nduring Lebaran proceed without disruption. \u201cAll preparations must be\nthorough,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>DIY Regional Secretary Ni Made Dwipanti Indrayanti explained that the\nMinistry of Transport had requested key mudik destination regions to\noptimise mosques along homecoming routes through to final destinations,\nso they could be utilised as rest areas for travellers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cParticularly for those who need physical recovery during their\njourney, to ensure regional readiness in welcoming the massive\nhomecoming flow,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Ministry of Transport also raised the recommendation\nto implement a work-from-anywhere (WFA) policy. This is intended to ease\nthe potential concentration of travellers at any single point in time,\nthereby allowing greater flexibility in traffic flow.<\/p>\n<p>The central government has already issued a WFA policy running from\n13 to 27 or 28 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Ni Made acknowledged that challenges remain in the\nprivate sector, particularly factories that have operational ties to\ntheir locations.<\/p>",
