        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is currently\nreviewing plans to increase fares for Transjakarta bus services, which\nhave remained at Rp 3,500 since 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Transjakarta CEO Welfizon Yuza stated that the review has been\nconducted, and the final decision will be in the hands of the regional\ngovernment along with the DKI Jakarta DPRD.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have conducted a review regarding the fare increase, which is\nstill at Rp 3,500 since 2005. So, approximately 21 years (without an\nincrease),\u201d said Welfizon during a presentation at a meeting with\nCommission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD on Thursday (23\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>This situation necessitates an adjustment to Transjakarta\u2019s\nfares.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe (minimum wage) increase has already been 7-8 times, but our fare\nhas held steady for 21 years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to regular fares, Transjakarta is also reviewing\nadjustments for airport services and Transjabodetabek routes.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically for the Blok M to Soekarno Hatta Airport service, it is\ncurrently in a three-month trial phase before the final fare is set by\nDKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung.<\/p>\n<p>From a budgetary perspective, Transjakarta\u2019s subsidy in the 2026\nRegional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) is recorded at Rp 3.7\ntrillion.<\/p>\n<p>Welfizon noted that Transjakarta is currently facing dual pressures,\nnamely potential increases in operational costs due to energy prices and\na rising number of passengers shifting to public transport.<\/p>\n<p>As a precautionary measure, Transjakarta is implementing cost\nefficiencies and developing non-ticket revenue sources (non-farebox),\nsuch as strategic partnerships and service digitalisation.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Transjakarta is beginning to develop a\nsubscription-based ticketing scheme for companies, campuses, and hotels\n(B2B).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur target is for non-farebox revenue this year to reach around Rp\n300 billion, so total revenue approaches Rp 1 trillion,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
