JAKARTA \u2014 Vehicle traffic on the Trans Sumatera Toll Road (JTTS) has\nshown a significant increase ahead of the 2026 Eid holiday season.<\/p>\n
PT Hutama Karya (Persero) recorded 135,924 vehicles traversing the\noperational toll sections on 14 March 2026, representing a 31.16 per\ncent increase compared to normal traffic levels.<\/p>\n
Hamdani, Acting Executive Vice President for Corporate Affairs at PT\nHutama Karya, stated that the traffic increase is becoming visible on\nseveral major toll sections, particularly those serving as inter-city\nconnectors and access routes to urban areas. \u201cThis increase reflects the\nbeginning of heightened population movement as people travel ahead of\nthe Eid holiday period,\u201d Hamdani said in a statement on Sunday, 15 March\n2026.<\/p>\n
The Terbanggi Besar\u2013Kayu Agung toll section recorded 21,655 vehicles,\na 59.89 per cent increase over normal traffic. The\nPalembang\u2013Indralaya\u2013Prabumulih toll sections (Palindra and Indraprabu)\nsaw 22,464 vehicles, representing a 60.27 per cent increase from normal\nconditions.<\/p>\n
The Betung\u2013Tempino\u2013Jambi toll section recorded 10,526 vehicles, a\n25.35 per cent increase over normal traffic. The Pekanbaru\u2013Dumai toll\nroad saw 16,859 vehicles, up 5.28 per cent.<\/p>\n
The Pekanbaru\u2013XIII Koto Kampar toll section recorded 7,440 vehicles,\nan increase of 21.29 per cent, whilst the Indrapura\u2013Kisaran toll section\nrecorded 10,367 vehicles, up 0.81 per cent compared to normal traffic\nconditions.<\/p>\n
The Kuala Tanjung\u2013Tebing Tinggi\u2013Parapat toll section (Kuala\nTanjung\u2013Sinaksak), managed by PT Hutama Marga Waskita, also recorded\nrelatively high traffic with 25,340 vehicles, representing a 24.67 per\ncent increase over normal conditions.<\/p>\n
The Binjai\u2013Langsa toll section recorded 11,818 vehicles, a 23.55 per\ncent increase over normal traffic levels.<\/p>\n
The most significant surge occurred on the Sigli\u2013Banda Aceh sections\n2\u20136 (Seulimeum\u2013Baitussalam), which saw 7,555 vehicles, a substantial\n128.04 per cent increase over normal traffic.<\/p>\n
Beyond the currently operational toll sections, Hutama Karya also\nrecorded traffic on toll sections being operated functionally during the\n2026 Eid season.<\/p>\n
On 14 March 2026, the Sigli\u2013Banda Aceh Section 1 (Seulimeum\u2013Padang\nTiji), operated functionally, recorded 3,418 vehicles. The\nPalembang\u2013Betung toll section (Kramasan\u2013Pangkalan Balai), also operated\nfunctionally, recorded 5,409 vehicles.<\/p>\n
