        "content": "<p>Karawang \u2014 Ahead of the Lebaran exodus period in 2026, PT Jasamarga\nTransjawa Tol (JTT) will cease major construction, repair, and\nmaintenance work on the toll road from 11 March 2026, with the exception\nof emergency pothole treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Corporate Secretary and Legal Officer of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol,\nRia Marlinda Paallo, stated that the suspension of repair work is being\nimplemented in anticipation of the peak mudik (exodus) travel period.\nShe noted that the company has been maintaining standby personnel since\nlate January 2026 in response to extreme weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are indeed suspending all work that would close lanes until 11\nMarch. The deadline for completing all major works is midnight on 11\nMarch,\u201d Paallo told Kompas.com on Monday, 9 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian government had previously expedited infrastructure\nimprovements on the strategic northern coast route (Pantura) and the\nTrans-Java toll road. The government communications agency stated that\nthis acceleration was necessary owing to high vehicle mobility,\nparticularly on the island of Java, with improvements focused on\nensuring road readiness for the surge in vehicles during the peak exodus\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>Pothole management has been designated as the primary focus during\nmaintenance operations. JTT has deployed approximately ten teams to\naddress potential disruptions on toll sections. \u201cHowever, road users\nneed not worry because our emergency task force will remain on standby\n24 hours per day to respond immediately to any potholes or waterlogging\nreports,\u201d Paallo explained.<\/p>\n<p>Paallo clarified that after 11 March 2026, minor maintenance work\nwill continue. Accordingly, travellers using the Trans-Java toll road\nneed not be concerned. \u201cFor instance, if there is waterlogging, we must\nfirst check the pumps and take steps to drain the water. This must\ncontinue because given the current weather conditions, we must remain on\nstandby,\u201d she added.<\/p>",
