Trakindo Utama, secured a mining equipment<br>\ncontract worth more than US$175 million with P.T. Newmont Nusa<br>\nTenggara.<\/p>\n<p>P.T. Newmont is a joint venture company, whose operating<br>\npartner is Newmont Gold Co.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the products will be manufactured in Decatur, East<br>\nPeoria, Joliet and Aurora, Ill. Delivery of the machines is<br>\nscheduled to begin this fall and continue through 2002.<br>\nProducts include track-type tractors, motor graders, wheel<br>\nloaders and mining trucks.<\/p>\n<p>Caterpillar said the contract includes extensive product<br>\nsupport agreements between Newmont and Trakindo. These agreements<br>\nguarantee certain operating and maintenance costs as well as<br>\nmachine availability.<\/p>",
