        "content": "<p>Training course starts today<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesia-Australia Technical and Vocational<br>\nEducation Project will hold a four-day training course on quality<br>\nmanagement in Sawangan, Bogor, starting today.<\/p>\n<p>John T. Boveington, the Australian team leader for the<br>\nproject, said that the training program, to be held at the<br>\nJakarta Vocational Education Development Center, will be attended<br>\nby 50 personnel from technical and vocational education centers<br>\nand schools. Most are from the eastern part of Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the participants of the program are representatives of<br>\na number of Indonesian companies, including Coca Cola, Sheraton<br>\nResort, Garuda Indonesia, the state-electricity company PLN and<br>\nPT Labtech Penta.<\/p>\n<p>Boveington explained that the program is aimed at training<br>\ntechnical and vocational education staff to enable them to<br>\nimplement quality management in technical and vocational schools<br>\nin 1995.<\/p>\n<p>\"This work is in line with the Ministry of Education and<br>\nCulture's dual system initiative for linking technical and<br>\nvocational schools with the industry,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>The new course will be presented by six Indonesian staff, who<br>\nhave returned to Indonesia after four months of intensive<br>\ntraining on ISO 9000 at the University of South Australia in<br>\nAdelaide.
