Train derails in Lampung<\/p>\n
BANDARLAMPUNG, Lampung: A passenger train, Limex S-1, derailed
\nin Kalibalangan subdistrict, Lampung province, on early Wednesday
\nmorning. No casualties were reported.<\/p>\n
The ill-fated train had left the Kertapati railway station in
\nPalembang province at 9 p.m. on Tuesday and was scheduled to
\narrive in Tanjungkarang, Lampung, at 4:07 a.m, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
As many as 423 passengers, including 104 in executive class,
\nwere evacuated to another train to continue their trip to
\nTanjungkarang.<\/p>\n
Head of the Tanjungkarang railway station Baidillah confirmed
\nthe accident, which he said took place after one of the axles
\nsuffered serious damage, forcing the train to grind to a halt.<\/p>\n
As the evacuation was underway, local railway workers and
\ntechnicians were working to repair the severely damaged parts of
\nthe train in order to clear the track and restore railroad
