The\nJakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) received a request for\nevacuation at 09:49 WIB on Thursday (9\/7\/2026). A total of 12 rescue\npersonnel were deployed to the scene, and the evacuation process began\nat 10:00 WIB. The three victims were successfully removed from the\nculvert by 11:55 WIB.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Head of Operations for the East Jakarta Gulkarmat\nSub-department, Abdul Wahid, the incident began when one worker entered\nthe culvert and lost consciousness halfway down. A colleague attempted a\nrescue but also fainted. A third worker then entered and suffered the\nsame fate. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
