Jakarta – The Head of Indonesia’s Traffic Police (Kakorlantas) Irjen
Agus Suryonugroho monitored traffic movement during Operation Ketupat
2026 at the Integrated Post at KM 57 Rest Area in Cikampek on Sunday, 15
March 2026.

During this visit, Kakorlantas reported that traffic flow,
particularly in the West Java Police jurisdiction area, remains
adequately controlled. Therefore, no immediate traffic engineering
policy has been implemented.

“Based on monitoring from our digital traffic counting system,
traffic departing from Jakarta currently accounts for only 23.1 per
cent. This means approximately 76.9 per cent, or around 3.2 million
mudik travellers, are yet to depart,” said Agus.

Coordination with all stakeholders, particularly toll road operator
Jasa Marga, continues through the monitoring system to maintain smooth
traffic flow.

Field management is flexible, based on data evaluation and
technology. Various scenarios for adjusting one-way traffic schedules
have been prepared dynamically to ensure security, safety and comfort
for mudik travellers as the primary priority.

Agus also commended the West Java Police for launching innovations in
support of traffic safety and public order during Operation Ketupat
2026.

“For us, every single life is precious. We are not merely managing
numbers; we are safeguarding the hopes of millions of families so that
their homecoming ends with smiles,” he said.
",
