Indonesia's National Police Traffic Corps is considering a national one-way traffic system on the Trans-Java Toll Road from kilometre 414 to 70 to manage increased vehicle volumes during the second phase of the Lebaran holiday return. This measure would be monitored based on traffic influx to Jakarta, potentially shifting to later phases if volumes remain low. The initiative prioritises safety for returning holidaymakers while enforcing restrictions on three-axle logistics vehicles to ensure smooth travel.

The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) is
open to implementing a one-way traffic engineering system nationwide
from kilometre 414 to kilometre 70 on the Trans-Java Toll Road if
vehicle volumes increase during the return flow. Head of Korlantas
Polri, Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, stated in West
Karawang, West Java, early on Saturday that they would first monitor the
number of vehicles entering Jakarta. “Whether it must be at kilometre
414 for the national one-way return phase two, or if there is no
significant surge in traffic, we might shift it to phase three. It could
be in Batang or Kendal,” he said. He also noted that traffic on Friday,
27 March, was observed to be steady, allowing focus on enforcing
violations by three-axle vehicles breaching operational restrictions for
goods transport. “In fact, tonight we are concentrating on enforcing the
joint ministerial decree (SKB). On the orders of the National Police
Chief, we are urging three-axle logistics business owners not to operate
yet,” he stated. This enforcement aims to prioritise the returning
holidaymakers to ensure their journeys are safe and smooth. On Friday,
27 March, Korlantas Polri implemented the local Precision one-way
system. The first phase of Precision one-way was applied from kilometre
132 on the Cipali Toll Road to kilometre 70 on the Cikampek Utara Toll
Road, effective since Friday morning. Meanwhile, the newly opened second
phase of Precision one-way runs from kilometre 263 on the Pejagan Toll
Road to kilometre 70.
",
