The\nNorth Jakarta Transportation Agency stated that the congestion is\nbeginning to ease.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTraffic police from Metro Jakarta North Police District and North\nJakarta Transportation Agency officials managed the situation on-site,\u201d\nsaid North Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Rudi Saptari Sulesuryana\nin Jakarta on Thursday (28\/5).<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the congestion in Priok to Cilincing was caused by\ncontainer loading and unloading operations at depots in Cilincing and\nMarunda. By 6:00 PM WIB, traffic that had been heavily congested began\nto ease gradually.<\/p>\n<p>North Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Unit Chief Kompol Ridha\nPoetera Aditya stated that the prolonged congestion was due to high\ntraffic volume from container handling operations at Delta Depot in\nMarunda Cilincing, North Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the heavy traffic, he noted that traffic flow remained\nmanageable by the police.
