Public Relations Head of the Banten Regional Police\nKombes Maruli Hutapea said on Friday, 6 March 2026, at 6:00 pm WIB that\nthe traffic flow was relatively smooth. There were no longer trucks\ncrowded at the port. \u2018Traffic conditions from the Merak Toll Gate to the\nMerak Port area are smooth and under control. Vehicles can directly\nenter the Merak Port area without experiencing congestion,\u2019 Maruli said.\nHe also urged all crossing service users to comply with officers\u2019\ndirections. \u2018To all crossing service users, please always follow the\ninstructions of field officers, maintain order, and ensure you have\ntickets before entering the port area,\u2019 he added. Earlier, Banten Police\nChief Inspector General Hengki asked Traffic Police to immediately\nenhance traffic management. This relates to an increase in vehicles\nheading to the port ahead of the operational vehicle restrictions to be\nimplemented from 13 March to 29 March.
