        "content": "<p>Traders reject relocation site<\/p>\n<p>TANGERANG: The majority of vendors who lost their kiosks in<br>\nthe fire that razed Jombang market in Ciputat district,<br>\nTangerang, on Tuesday, refused to be relocated to either the<br>\nvacant land next to Jombang railway station or a soccer field.<\/p>\n<p>A vendor, Wawang, told The Jakarta Post, that the two<br>\ntemporary relocation sites offered by the regency administration<br>\nwere not strategic for business. &quot;The block of land next to the<br>\nrailway station is too small. There is not enough space for all<br>\n400 of us,&quot; he said.<\/p>\n<p>The regency&apos;s market supervision head Alatief Abdullatief said<br>\nit would be impossible to rebuild the market if the vendors were<br>\nallowed to operate in the market&apos;s parking lot.<\/p>\n<p>The fire, which was reportedly caused by an electrical short<br>\ncircuit, razed 395 kiosks.<\/p>\n<p>Regent Ismet Iskandar said that developer PT Arya Graha<br>\nAsrindo should continue the project to build a three-story market<br>\nbuilding, which was halted in 1998 due to the financial crisis<br>\nthat year.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The developer only managed to build a one-story building.
