        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Trade Minister Budi Santoso has said\nthat the future of the country\u2019s cocoa industry and its supporting\necosystem will depend heavily on collaboration among stakeholders such\nas the government, cocoa farmers, businesses, financial institutions,\nacademics and international partners.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the 9th Indonesia International Cocoa Conference (IICC)\nin Yogyakarta on Thursday, Budi said the strategic role of Indonesia\u2019s\ncocoa sector in the global economy would be further propelled through\nsuch stakeholder collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a strategic Indonesian export product with significant\nadded-value potential, the future of cocoa depends on stakeholder\ncollaboration. Indonesia\u2019s vision is clear, namely to become a global\nhub for sustainable, value-added premium cocoa and chocolate products,\u201d\nBudi said in an official statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past five years, Indonesia\u2019s cocoa export performance has\nshown very strong growth. Export value in 2025 stood at US$3.60 billion,\na threefold increase compared with 2021, when it was US$1.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The commodity increasingly demonstrates Indonesia\u2019s potential to\ncapture the global premium cocoa market segment. According to Budi,\nthese efforts must be supported by innovation, geographical indication\nfactors and sustainable production.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, Indonesia\u2019s export strategy must continue to focus on\nincreasing added value, meeting international standards, diversifying\nexport markets, and maximising the use of the international trade\nagreements Indonesia holds,\u201d Budi said.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the utilisation of international trade agreements,\nIndonesia has so far implemented 25 trade agreements with its partner\ncountries, with two more in the process of ratification.<\/p>",
