        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2013 PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) has made several improvements\nto the New GR Yaris focusing on enhancing handling, stability, and\ndriving comfort.<\/p>\n<p>The updates are the result of evaluations from the car\u2019s use in\nvarious motorsport events, including the World Rally Championship.<\/p>\n<p>TAM Marketing Director Bansar Maduma said the Gazoo Racing\n(GR)-developed hot hatch received changes in the steering sector,\nElectric Power Steering (EPS) calibration, parking brake lever position,\nand added heated seats and steering wheel.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, one major change is a smaller steering wheel design to\naid manoeuvring. Toyota also redesigned the grip for better comfort\nduring extreme driving conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the parking brake lever is now positioned closer to the\nsteering wheel at a steeper angle.<\/p>\n<p>These modifications are claimed to make it easier for drivers to\nswitch hands, especially during rally-style driving simulations.<\/p>\n<p>Heated seats and steering wheel have been added to improve comfort in\ncold weather.<\/p>\n<p>For the EPS, Toyota revised the software and components to expand the\nsystem\u2019s detection capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the GR Yaris now features newly developed tyres from\nintensive testing. Revisions to the tread pattern, internal structure,\nand rubber compound aim to enhance traction and stability on both roads\nand race tracks.<\/p>\n<p>The damping characteristics of front and rear shock absorbers were\nalso adjusted to optimise tyre performance.<\/p>\n<p>TAM Marketing Director Hiroyuki Oide stated the improvements were\nmade to preserve the GR Yaris\u2019s signature fun-to-drive character.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFeedback from drivers and the GR Yaris community has provided\nopportunities to enhance stability and handling for greater\nresponsiveness to driver preferences,\u201d Oide said.<\/p>",
