Toyo wins RI contract<\/p>\n
TOKYO (Nikkei): Toyo Engineering Corp. leads a group that has
\nwon a Y35 billion contract from an Indonesian concerns to build
\ntwo fertilizer plants on the island of Sumatra, The Nihon Keizai
\nShimbun Thursday morning edition reported.<\/p>\n
The project will be partially financed by loans from the
\nExport-Import Bank of Japan.<\/p>\n
This is the first major plant construction deal concluded by
\nIndonesia since late last year, when that country's economic
\ncrisis disrupted negotiations on such projects. To boost food
\nsupply, the Jakarta government has put top priority on the
\nfertilizer plants.<\/p>\n
Pupuk Iskandar Muda wants two fertilizer plants - an ammonia
\nplant with a daily capacity of 1,200 tons and a urea plant of
\n1,725 tons.<\/p>",
