        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional\nDivision (JMT) recorded an increase in vehicle volume on several toll\nroad sections in the Greater Jakarta area and West Java during the\nAscension of Jesus Christ long holiday on Thursday (14\/05\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the vehicle volume heading towards Soekarno-Hatta\nInternational Airport and Merak Port was recorded as lower compared to\nnormal traffic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>JMT recorded that the vehicle volume heading towards the Puncak area\nvia the Ciawi 1 Toll Gate reached 43,228 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>This number increased by 28.38 percent compared to the normal traffic\nvolume of 33,672 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Senior General Manager of Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional\nDivision, Widiyatmiko Nursejati, said that the increase in traffic was\nconcentrated towards tourist areas and popular destinations during the\nlong holiday.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the vehicle volume heading towards Soekarno-Hatta\nAirport via the Cengkareng Toll Gate was recorded at 61,934 vehicles, or\na decrease of 22.25 percent compared to normal traffic of 79,661\nvehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The number of vehicles heading towards Merak via the Cikupa Toll Gate\nwas recorded at 39,826 vehicles, or 19.16 percent lower than the normal\ntraffic of 49,264 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>In the West Java region, an increase in vehicle volume also occurred\ntowards Rancaekek, Garut, and its surroundings via the Cileunyi Toll\nGate.<\/p>\n<p>The number of vehicles passing through was recorded at 34,461\nvehicles, an increase of 4.36 percent compared to normal traffic of\n33,020 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>To support the convenience of road users during the long holiday,\nJasa Marga has prepared Rest and Service Areas (TIP) on several toll\nroad sections.<\/p>\n<p>Road users heading to Bandung or Rancaekek can use the TIP at KM 72,\nKM 88, and KM 147.
