        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Public demand for public transport continues to\nevolve, moving beyond routine commutes for work to include weekend\nrecreational activities with families. This shift in mobility patterns\nmakes connectivity between regions and ease of access to destinations a\ncrucial element of public travel.<\/p>\n<p>LRT Jabodehas become a key part of the urban transport ecosystem\nsupporting this mobility. By providing services that connect various\nareas across Jakarta, Bekasi, and Depok, LRT Jabodebek serves as a\nviable travel option to various activity centres, including tourist\nareas.<\/p>\n<p>With 18 stations spread across Jakarta, Depok, and Bekasi, LRT\nJabodebek connects to numerous hubs of activity, including several\ntourist destinations that can be reached directly or via transfers to\nother modes of transport.<\/p>\n<p>The strategic locations of LRT Jabodebek stations are currently\ndirectly integrated with the Commuterline, Airport Rail Link, MRT\nJakarta, and TransJakarta at the Dukuh Atas Bank Syariah Indonesia\nStation, as well as TransJakarta at eight different points and KAI\nCommuter at Cikoko Station. Additionally, feeder shuttles, public\ntransport, and online motorcycle taxis are available at almost all\nstations to assist with last-mile connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>This connectivity is becoming increasingly relevant as travel needs\ngrow across various segments. During weekends and national holidays, the\naverage number of users rose to 46,878, a 13% increase compared to the\n2025 weekend average of 41,363 users, with peak movement occurring on\nSaturdays and Sundays between 10:00 and 20:00 WIB. Surges are also\nobserved during holiday periods such as school breaks and national\ncelebrations.<\/p>\n<p>Travel to tourist destinations does not end when passengers arrive at\na station, as journeys often continue to the final destination.\nTherefore, connectivity between public transport and surrounding areas\nis essential for building more integrated journeys. Some examples of\nactivity centres near LRT Jabodebek stations include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><p>From Dukuh Atas Bank Syarel Indonesia Station: transit via MRT\nfor one station to Bundaran HI, then walk to Monas;<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>From Cikoko Station: take TransJakarta corridor 6, alight at\nRagunan, and walk to the Ragunan Zoo;<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>From Harjamukti Station: take the LRT feeder shuttle to Taman\nWisata Mekarsari Cibubur;<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>From TMII Station: directly connected via passenger shuttles to\nthe TMII site;<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>From Kampung Rambutan Station: connected to the intercity bus\nterminal;<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>And several other stations located near various other tourist\nattractions.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Radhitya Mardika, Manager of Public Relations for LRT Jabodebek,\nstated that current public travel patterns are becoming increasingly\ndiverse. Mobility is no longer limited to work and daily activities but\nincludes visiting recreation centres, tourist spots, and culinary\ndestinations, as well as travelling with families. Consequently, public\ntransport must serve as a connected link from the point of departure to\nthe final destination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough connectivity with various transport modes and follow-up\nservices, LRT Jabodebek provides travel options for the public to\ncontinue their journeys to various activity centres and tourist\ndestinations. LRT Jabodebek can be a safe and comfortable travel choice\nthat helps the public avoid traffic congestion,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the connectivity provided by LRT Jabodebek with areas\nsurrounding its stations is also a key part of urban transport\ndevelopment.
