\u201cWe will hold meetings with the local government to restore and\nrebuild, along with community involvement,\u201d Tourism Minister Widiyanti\nPutri Wardhana said in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n
She outlined that the recovery will focus on developing a\ncomprehensive reconstruction master plan, oriented not only toward\nphysical development but also strengthening the social, cultural, and\neconomic resilience of the local community.<\/p>\n
She held a coordination meeting with West Nusa Tenggara Governor Lalu\nMuhamad Iqbal, Central Lombok District Head Lalu Pathul Bahri, the\nRegional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Lombok Tourism\nPolytechnic, and stakeholders in the tourism ecosystem, resulting in\nseveral steps for the long-term reconstruction plan for Sade Traditional\nVillage.<\/p>\n
The first step begins with the formation of a cross-sectoral working\nteam involving central government ministries\/agencies, local\ngovernments, partners, and indigenous communities.<\/p>\n
The team will be responsible for collecting detailed data on affected\ncommunities and workers for targeted and effective aid distribution.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the government plans to open a one-stop donation account\nto facilitate the collection of village reconstruction funds. This step\nis also balanced with efforts to meet the supply of traditional building\nmaterials, a major challenge for indigenous communities in restoring\ntheir homes.<\/p>\n
Widiyanti said the next step focuses on developing a reconstruction\nmaster plan, in collaboration with stakeholders and indigenous\ncommunities to maintain the character and authentic identity of Sade\nVillage.<\/p>\n
According to her, the master plan includes an integrated fire\nprotection system, including communal fire extinguisher points designed\nto blend with the village\u2019s aesthetics, emergency water reservoirs, and\nimproved sanitation and waste management.<\/p>\n
She emphasized that the traditional houses in Sade hold significant\nhistorical value and remain central to the community\u2019s livelihoods.\nTherefore, the government and local authorities are committed to\nproviding decent housing for the Sade indigenous community.<\/p>\n
The minister called for a comprehensive recovery process that places\nthe community at the center of efforts.<\/p>\n
She also hoped the reconstruction master plan would serve as a model\nfor other traditional villages, improving disaster risk mitigation and\nsafety while preserving traditional values.<\/p>\n
