Tour de Merapi 2004 on offer<\/p>\n
YOGYAKARTA: Four regencies in Yogyakarta and Central Java are
\noffering a one-day motorcycle tour on Sept. 26, 2004 visiting
\nvaried tourist destinations around Mount Merapi.<\/p>\n
Head of Sleman administration's public relations Sudarningsih,
\nthe event, called Tour de Merapi 2004, is jointly organized to
\nmark the World Tourism Day that falls on Sept. 27, and the 4th
\nKeraton Nusantara Festival (Festival of Palaces) to be held in
\nYogyakarta this month.<\/p>\n
The four regencies are Sleman, Magelang, Klaten and Boyolali.<\/p>\n
To take part in the event, the second of its kind, people can
\nenroll for Rp 75,000 and they will get a jacket, a T-shirt,
\nsnacks, bottled drinking water, accident insurance and a
\nguidebook.<\/p>\n
A set of prizes have also been prepared for the winners of the
\ntour, including two motorcycles, two color TV sets, two VCD
\nplayers, two mobile phones, five fans, two mountain bikes, and
\nhundreds of door prizes.<\/p>\n
The participants are judged by the accuracy of the
\nbiking time, quiz's score, and riding etiquette on the trip.
\nThe four best participants will each be given Rp
\n500,000 and a trophy from the four regents.<\/p>\n
\"We're expecting to have some 2,000 motorbikes, or
