Tono Suratman on<br>\nWednesday, saying they were unprepared.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have yet to complete a demand,\" chief prosecutor Gabriel<br>\nSimangungsong told the human rights court hearing, presided over<br>\nby judge Andi Samsan Nganro.<\/p>\n<p>The court had given the prosecutors two weeks to prepare the<br>\ndemand.<\/p>\n<p>Andi adjourned the hearing until Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Tono is accused of failing to prevent his subordinates<br>\nfrom allowing a mob to attack a church and the residence of<br>\nindependence leader Manuel Carrascalao in Dili in April 1999.<\/p>\n<p>The rights tribunal tried 16 people for their involvement in<br>\ngross human rights violations in East Timor in 1999.
