        "content": "<p>Tonasa raises cement output<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): PT Semen Tonasa, a state cement producer in<br>\nSouth Sulawesi, plans to produce 3.3 million metric tons of<br>\ncement this year, up 7 percent from 3.1 million metric tons<br>\nproduced last year.<\/p>\n<p>The company's spokesman, Supriyanto, told Antara news agency<br>\nin Ujungpandang, South Sulawesi, that the output target was lower<br>\nthan its annual production capacity of 3.48 million metric tons.<\/p>\n<p>This year's production target was raised to meet the cement<br>\ndemand in Indonesia's western and eastern regions, and for<br>\nforeign buyers.<\/p>\n<p>PT Tonasa, the sole supplier of cement in Indonesia's eastern<br>\nregion, said it hoped it would be able to meet the region's<br>\ncement demand.<\/p>\n<p>\"We guarantee a smooth supply and will deliver to distributors<br>\non time, unless conditions are beyond our control,\" Supriyanto<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>PT Semen Tonasa is part of the Semen Gresik Group, which also<br>\nowns PT Semen Padang in West Sumatra and publicly listed PT Semen<br>\nGresik in East Java.
