        "content": "<p>Located at an altitude of around 800 metres above sea level,\nTompobulu Village in Balocci Subdistrict, Pangkajene and the Islands\nRegency, South Sulawesi Province, continues to demonstrate positive\ntransformation. The village has successfully optimised its natural,\ncultural, and local wisdom potentials as sources of community economic\ngrowth. The majority of Tompobulu\u2019s residents work as farmers. However,\nthe village also boasts a wealth of traditional cuisine. Among them is\nsaraba daun kelor, made from ginger and moringa leaves, which is now\ngaining wider recognition and development. Over time, this potential has\nnot only become a local identity but has also evolved into part of the\ncommunity\u2019s economic activities. At the same time, the tourism sector is\nbeginning to grow as a new driving force believed to strengthen the\nvillage\u2019s economic structure in the future. This development aligns with\nvarious achievements attained by Tompobulu Village in recent years. The\nvillage has secured national and regional accolades, including winning\nthe national Award for Indonesian Tourism Villages (ADWI), receiving\nrecognition in the Ministry of Villages\u2019 Tourism Village Competition,\nand being nominated as one of the best villages in the Desa BRILiaN\nprogramme. Tompobulu Village Head Abdul Kadir Hakim stated that these\nachievements serve as a boost for the community to continue developing\nthe village\u2019s potential sustainably. \u201cThese accomplishments are a source\nof pride for us and a motivation to keep developing the village\u2019s\npotential,\u201d he said. This strengthening has been further optimised by\nthe presence of the Desa BRILiaN programme. The community\u2019s proximity to\nBRI services has become a supporting factor, given that most residents\nare MSME actors and recipients of People\u2019s Business Credit (KUR).\nThrough this programme, BRI provides ongoing assistance encompassing\nvillage economic strengthening, financial service digitalisation, and\nenhancement of local potential management capacity. In line with that,\nthe village\u2019s tourism potential continues to be developed in an\nintegrated manner. Tompobulu Village features several attractions\nscattered both within and outside the Bantimurung-Bulusaraung National\nPark area, including Puncak Pendagang Bulu Sarang in Bulu-Bulu Hamlet at\nan elevation of 1,353 metres above sea level, which is one of the\nflagship draws. The growth of the tourism sector has also positively\nimpacted the development of MSMEs based on local wisdom. Products like\nsaraba daun kelor are now marketed to various regions through an\nexpanding distribution network. On the other hand, aren sugar businesses\ncontinue to maintain traditional production processes based on mutual\ncooperation, which not only preserves product quality but also\nreinforces social values in the community. The role of village\ninstitutions is also a key factor in sustaining economic growth. The\nVillage-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) continues to develop various business\nunits that support community needs, from village Wi-Fi services and\ngallon water depots to other productive ventures. The presence of BUMDes\nis expected to serve as an economic driver while contributing to\nincreased Original Village Income. All these efforts are reinforced by\nsupport from the banking sector. BRI is present through the provision of\ninclusive and integrated financial access, including KUR distribution,\nstrengthening of AgenBRILink connected to BUMDes, implementation of\nQRIS-based digital payments, and utilisation of the BRImo application to\nfacilitate community transactions. BRI Micro Director Akhmad Purwakajaya\nstated that the Desa BRILiaN programme is part of BRI\u2019s commitment to\ndriving sustainable and inclusive village economic growth. Desa BRILiaN\nis designed as a village empowerment programme based on four main\npillars: strengthening village institutions such as BUMDes and\ncooperatives, financial service digitalisation, sustainable economic\ndevelopment, and village innovation. \u201cThrough this programme, BRI\nencourages village communities to continue innovating and creating\nsolutions to the various challenges they face,\u201d Akhmad explained in a\nstatement quoted on Sunday (29\/3\/2026).
