Tommy Soeharto has a baby son<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Hutomo Mandala Putra, the youngest son of former
\npresident Soeharto, had his first child when his wife, Ardhia
\nPramesti Regita Cahyani, delivered their son on Aug. 8 in
\nJakarta, sources said.<\/p>\n
Sources close to the family said the baby was born at a
\nprivate maternity hospital on Jl. Pramuka, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Soon after the delivery, the baby and his mother reportedly
\nwere moved to Harapan Kita Child and Maternity Hospital on Jl. S.
\nParman, West Jakarta, on the advice of family doctors.<\/p>\n
They returned to their home on Jl. Yusuf Adiwinata, Central
\nJakarta, Saturday. The couple lives just a few meters away from
\nSoeharto's residence.<\/p>\n
"The baby is very handsome. He looks like his grandfather,"
\nsaid the source.<\/p>\n
The family could not be reached for comment yesterday, and a
\nguard refused to talk about the baby, saying only the couple had
\nthe right to disclose the name and other details of the child.<\/p>\n
The former president is reportedly very proud of his new
\ngrandchild.<\/p>\n
Soeharto now has 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild
\nfrom his three sons and three daughters.<\/p>\n
The baby is Soeharto's first grandchild to have been born
\nafter his resignation on May 21.<\/p>\n
"His grandchildren and great-grandchild are his biggest source
\nof joy. Now he spends most of his time with them," sources close
\nto Soeharto said Saturday.<\/p>\n
Hutomo Mandala Putra, also known as Tommy, married Ardhia in a
\nstylish ceremony on April 30 last year, or just one year after
\nhis mother, Tien Soeharto, died.<\/p>\n
It was a short courtship kept out of the public eye. News of
\nthe wedding only became public one month before the marriage.<\/p>\n
During his bachelor days, Tommy associated with celebrities
\nlike singers Maya Rumantir and Nia Zulkarnaen, beauty queens
\nIndira Soediro and Alya Rohali and MTV host Nadya Hutagalung.
