        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Public Works (PU) and the Toll Road Business Entity\n(BUJT) have agreed to provide a 30 per cent toll tariff discount during\nthe Eid al-Fitr holiday period for 2026 across nearly all toll road\nsections on both the Trans Java and Trans Sumatra networks.<\/p>\n<p>The Director General of Road Development at the Ministry of Public\nWorks, Roy Rizal, stated that the toll tariff reduction will be applied\nfor four days: 15-16 March 2026 for outbound journeys and 26-27 March\n2026 for return journeys.<\/p>\n<p>This toll tariff discount is significantly larger compared to the Eid\n2025 holiday period, which offered only 20 per cent, and the Christmas\nand New Year 2025-2026 period, which also provided 20 per cent\ndiscounts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe toll tariff is set at 30 per cent, in accordance with the\nresults of a coordination meeting with the Coordinating Minister for\nInfrastructure and Territorial Development (IPK). This tariff reduction\napplies only to the maximum rates using electronic payment methods,\u201d Roy\nsaid during a media gathering on Friday, 6 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The discount will be implemented across nearly all Trans Java and\nTrans Sumatra toll road sections. However, certain toll road sections\nhave special provisions regarding the application of the discount. For\ninstance, the Tangerang-Merak toll road section will apply the discount\non 12-13 March 2026 for outbound journeys and 31 March-1 April 2026 for\nreturn journeys.<\/p>\n<p>The Kayuagung-Palembang toll road will receive extended discount\napplication dates on 14, 28, and 29 March 2026. The Cimanggis-Cibitung\ntoll road will apply the discount on 21-22 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>For the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) toll road, the\ndiscount will be implemented using dynamic pricing during specific hours\nat rates of 10-20 per cent. The Cibitung-Cilincing toll road will offer\na larger discount of 12-44 per cent for class II-V vehicles through 30\nApril 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Trans Sumatra toll roads receiving the 30 per cent discount include:\nSigli-Banda Aceh, Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat,\nIndrapura-Kisaran, Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi, Belawan-Medan-Tanjung\nMorowa, Pekanbaru-Dumai, Pekanbaru-Bangkinang-Koto Kampar, and\nIndralaya-Prabumulih. The Kayuagung-Palembang toll road receives 10 per\ncent plus 30 per cent discounts, whilst the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar\ntoll road receives 30 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Trans Java toll roads receiving the 30 per cent discount (with\nexceptions noted below) include: Tangerang-Merak, Jakarta-Cikampek,\nJakarta-Cikampek Elevated\/MBZ, Cikopo-Palimanan, Palimanan-Kanci,\nKanci-Pejagan, Pejagan-Pemalang, Pemalang-Batang, Batang-Semarang, and\nSemarang ABC.<\/p>\n<p>Non-Trans Jawa toll roads on Java receiving discounts include: Kelapa\nGading-Pulogebang (30 per cent), Cimanggis-Cibitung (30 per cent,\napplied 21-22 March 2026), Cibitung-Cilincing (12-44 per cent), Becakayu\n(10-20 per cent with dynamic pricing), Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang\n(30 per cent), Padalarang-Cileunyi (30 per cent),\nCileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (30 per cent), and Krian-Legundi-Bunder (30 per\ncent).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the discount scheme, the Ministry of Public Works, the\nToll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT), and toll road business entities have\nannounced a list of toll roads that will open for free functional\noperation during the Eid 2026 holiday period.<\/p>\n<p>Roy Rizal stated that ten new toll road sections will be opened for\nfree functional operation during Eid 2026, with the aim of supporting\nsmooth travel flows during the holiday period. Three sections are on the\nTrans Sumatra network spanning 90.73 kilometres, six sections are on\nJava spanning 148.03 kilometres, and one section is in Kalimantan\nspanning 52.37 kilometres.<\/p>\n<p>On Sumatra, the following toll roads will be opened for free\nfunctional operation: Sigli-Banda Aceh Section 1 (Padang Tiji-Seulimeum\nsegment, 23.9 km); Kayuagung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat Section 4\n(Sinaksak-Pematang Siantar segment, 28 km); and Palembang-Betung\nSections 1 and 2 (Kramasan-Musi Landas and Musi Landas-Pangkalan Balai\nsegments, 53.6 km combined).<\/p>\n<p>On Java, the following toll roads will be opened for free functional\noperation: Serang-Panimbang Section 2 (Rangkasbitung-Cileles segment,\n24.17 km); Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi Section 3\n(Parungkuda\/Cibadak-Karangtengah Access segment, 4.9 km);\nJakarta-Cikampek 2 South Sections 3-6 (52 km, applicable only during\nreturn journeys for Eid 2026); Yogyakarta-Bawen Section 6\n(Ambarawa-Bawen segment, 4.85 km); Yogyakarta-Solo Section\n(Prambanan-Purwomartani segment, 11.48 km); and Probolinggo-Banyuwangi\nPhase 1 (Gending-Besuki segment, 49.68 km).<\/p>\n<p>In Kalimantan, the Balikpapan-Nusantara Capital City toll road (52.37\nkm) will be opened for free functional operation.<\/p>",
