TNT opens airport express facility at Soekarno-Hatta airport<\/p>\n

International forwarder TNT Express opened on Thursday its
\nexpress depot located at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in
\nBanten as part of its efforts to improve the speed and efficiency
\nof its service.<\/p>\n
\"Since we first opened our doors for business in 1979 in
\nIndonesia, TNT has demonstrated a strong commitment to our
\ncustomers and to developing the air express delivery and
\nlogistics industry in the country,\" TNT Indonesia's Colin Moran
\nsaid in the release made available on Thursday.<\/p>\n
TNT Indonesia, which has more than 18 branch offices, nine
\nagents and 400 staff nationwide, is a subsidiary of TNT Express.<\/p>\n
The release stated that Indonesia's economic potential had
\nencouraged TNT to continue its commitment to the country.<\/p>\n
Previously, TNT stated that the investment for the express
\ndepot reached about US$4 million.<\/p>\n
The depot, which the firm boasted as the country's largest
\nairport depot express facility, comprises of a 2,000 square meter
\nbuilding with a 600 square meter mezzanine area. The depot is
\nequipped with a closed circuit television equipment to enhance
\nthe security of the depot.<\/p>\n
It has also a 1,400 square meter warehouse and bonded area,
\nwhich enable the firm to handle export\/import packages more
\nefficiently.<\/p>\n
Ken McCall, the chief executive officer of TNT Asia, Middle
\nEast and Africa said that the new depot reflected TNT's continued
\nconfidence in Indonesia.<\/p>",
