TNI to announce reshuffle on Monday<\/p>\n

The Indonesian Military (TNI) will announce on Monday a reshuffle
\ninvolving several high ranking officers, including the
\nappointment of the new Army Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad)
\nchief.<\/p>\n
TNI chief Gen. Endriartono Sutarto, however, refused to
\ndisclose any names, but asserted that the long-awaited reshuffle
\nof TNI top brass had been completed after a delay due to the
\nelections.<\/p>\n
\"The President has a deep concern about the belated
\nreplacement of the Kostrad commander,\" Endriartono said,
\nreferring to his private meeting with President Susilo Bambang
\nYudhoyono on Friday.<\/p>\n
\"We plan to announce the name of the officer assigned to the
\nKostrad post tomorrow (Monday).\"<\/p>\n
Endriartono said some officers would get promotions in the
\nfirst reshuffle to take place in the administration of President
\nSusilo.<\/p>\n
\"The President pays a great deal of attention to regeneration
\nin the TNI,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Endriartono said he also suggested a process of regeneration
\nto Susilo as he had done with former president Megawati
\nSoekarnoputri,<\/p>\n
Departing from its usual custom, the Army sent off Kostrad
\nchief Lt. Gen. Bibit Waluyo a month ago, without naming a
\nsuccessor. Bibit reached the mandatory retirement age of 55 on
\nAug. 5.<\/p>\n
Army chief Gen. Ryamizard Ryacudu took over as the Kostrad
\nchief, pending the completion of the reshuffle.<\/p>\n
Brawijaya Military Commander overseeing East Java Maj. Gen.
\nAhmad Djunaidi Sikki and Kostrad chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Asril
\nTanjung have been touted as strong candidates to replace Bibit.<\/p>",
