Endriartono<br>\nSutarto said on Tuesday that TNI leaders were considering<br>\nstationing military battalions along borders with neighboring<br>\ncountries to improve security.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The planned battalions would ensure security along the<br>\nborders,&quot; Endriartono said.<\/p>\n<p>He did not say when or where the battalions would be<br>\npositioned.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia shares its land boundaries with East Timor in Timor,<br>\nMalaysia in Kalimantan and Papua New Guinea in Papua.<\/p>\n<p>East Timorese frequently make illegal crossings into West<br>\nTimor, while rampant illegal logging and human trafficking occur<br>\nalong the borders with Malaysia, he said.
