The Indonesian Armed Forces\u2019 Cyber Unit (Satsiber TNI) is opening\nrecruitment for soldiers ranging from officers to non-commissioned\nofficers. In 2025, the total recruitment is for 50 personnel.<\/p>\n
\u201c(This year\u2019s quota) is still being formulated by Spers TNI,\u201d said\nHead of Satsiber TNI Brigadier General Juinta Omboh (JO) Sembiring at\nthe Ahmad Yani Sports Hall, TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta,\non Monday (24\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
According to him, the Satsiber TNI team has already identified a\nnumber of universities with potential recruits. Both master\u2019s and\nbachelor\u2019s degree students, as well as vocational high school (SMK)\nstudents, can join as Satsiber TNI soldiers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThen we check what abilities they have, what certifications they\nhold. After certification, what their portfolio is, whether they have\nwork experience. We select and check everything. Spotting, after that we\nhave staged selection processes covering both academic ability and\nskills,\u201d said Sembiring.<\/p>\n
According to him, bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degree recruits will\nreceive the rank of Second Lieutenant (Letda) upon completing their\neducation. They will undergo training similar to the Cyber Career\nOfficer (Pa PK Siber) programme. Meanwhile, vocational high school\ngraduates who pass recruitment will hold the rank of Second Sergeant\n(Serda). Sembiring confirmed that Satsiber TNI personnel training is\nshorter than regular soldier training.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, like last year, they were only trained for one month. But it\nwill continue to be evaluated by Spers regarding the training. What is\ncertain is that we must detect their mental ideology, their fighting\nspirit, which must be strong, including their psychology. This is\nperhaps the main requirement, aside from the technical abilities\nmentioned earlier,\u201d said Sembiring.<\/p>\n
He continued that when the recruitment process opens, his staff will\ndistribute invitations to various communities and universities. Last\nyear, Satsiber TNI screened around 2,000 applicants for a quota of 50\nsoldiers.<\/p>\n
