        "content": "<p>The determination of President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s administration to\nstrengthen national defence by adding primary weapon systems (alutsista)\ndeserves to be taken seriously.<\/p>\n<p>In 2026 alone, President Prabowo handed over six Dassault Rafale\nfighter jets, four Dassault Falcon 8X aircraft, and one Airbus A400M\nAtlas transport aircraft to TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, two T-50i Golden Eagle aircraft were delivered via air\ncargo from South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, the Ministry of Defence confirmed the purchase of 12\nM-346F Block 20 fighter jets made by the Italian company Leonardo, to be\nused as trainer aircraft for Indonesian Air Force fighter pilots.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the considerations is to meet the training needs of\nIndonesian Air Force pilots while supporting operational readiness,\u201d\nsaid Head of the Defence Information Bureau at the Ministry of Defence,\nBrigadier General Rico Ricardo Sirait.<\/p>\n<p>The contract for the purchase of the 12 fighter jets is said to have\nbeen signed and is in effect.
