Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia\n(TMMIN) considers synergy between the industrial world and education\nessential for developing vocational education.<\/p>\n
\u201cCollaboration between the education sector, government and industry\nis key to building a sustainable vocational ecosystem,\u201d said TMMIN Vice\nPresident Director I Nyoman Winaya Adnyana in Denpasar, Bali, on\nFriday.<\/p>\n
Winaya further stressed that synergy among schools, government and\nindustry is crucial to creating learning relevant to industry needs and\npreparing a competent, competitive younger generation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen schools have access to industry-standard learning, teachers\ncontinually develop their competencies, and students gain relevant\npractical experience, more capable talents will emerge who are better\nprepared to face future challenges,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
As part of vocational school development, TMMIN also promotes\nlearning based on the application of Toyota\u2019s industrial standards\nthrough enhancing teachers\u2019 competencies via basic industrial skills\ntraining and aligning the curriculum with industry needs.<\/p>\n
Winaya said this approach aims to instil an industrial work culture\nwithin the school environment, from discipline and workplace safety to\nquality and a spirit of continuous improvement.<\/p>\n
This, he continued, is expected to make the learning process produce\nnot only technically competent graduates but also those with\nprofessional character.<\/p>\n
Moreover, the expansion is expected to contribute to the government\u2019s\nefforts to revitalise vocational education while preparing competent\nhuman resources to meet labour demands across various industrial\nsectors.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, TMMIN\u2019s Vocational School Development programme has been\nrunning since 2017 and currently reaches 30 partner vocational high\nschools (SMK) spread across West Java, East Java, Central Java and the\nSpecial Region of Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n
