        "content": "<p>TKIs able to vote in 2004 polls<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The government has said that Indonesian citizens<br>\nworking illegally overseas (TKIs), will not lose their voting<br>\nrights in the 2004 general election and need not fear possible<br>\narrest.<\/p>\n<p>Iswayudha, a senior official at the Directorate of the<br>\nProtection of Indonesians Overseas at the Ministry of Foreign<br>\nAffairs, said here on Wednesday that the data on TKIs would be<br>\nkept secret and only used for electoral purposes.<\/p>\n<p>An estimated 1.1 million Indonesian citizens are working<br>\noverseas and the most part of them are employed illegally in<br>\nMalaysia and the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>Iswayudha said, Indonesian Embassies were set to collect data<br>\nin October on Indonesian workers overseas, including those<br>\nworking without the necessary documents. --JP<\/p>",
